Snoopy Table lamp
Inspired by Charlie Brown’s domestic dog Snoopy (derived from the English word “to snoop” – “sniffing around”) from the American comic series “The Peanuts” by Charles Monroe Schulz, the classic lighting design of the Snoopy table lamp consists of a black illuminated screen and a white marble base. In the meantime, the Snoopy table lamp is also available with a green lampshade and in a 50th limited edition, with a matt black lampshade. At TAGWERC Design STORE the Snoopy 50th Limited Edition is available as a separate item.

The dog Snoopy, a Beagle from the breed, mostly lies on the roof of his doghouse while philosophizing. He is fond of art, has a real van Gogh hanging in his doghouse and is considered crazy and mediative. Likewise, the Snoopy table lamp by the Castiglioni brothers. Unconventional shape and advanced technology – the Snoopy table lamp falls out of the conventional design frame of yesterday and today and immediately catches the eye in the circle of table lamps. In addition to the marble, which has been known as a noble material since antiquity, the Snoopy table lamp by Flos impresses with its high-quality workmanship. Snoopy – a design classic that is still en vogue today.
The metal shade, painted black or green on the outside, shines in white on the inside and reflects the direct light downwards. A glass diffuser mounted between the lamp and the edge of the lamp shields the bulb and prevents dirt from entering. In this way, the Snoopy table lamp provides soft light and a pleasant atmosphere. The special design, paired with sophisticated technology, make the table lamp Snoopy by Flos the ideal, light-giving companion. In the living room, bedroom, dining and study, on a sideboard or a small table in the hallway, as a bedside lamp or lounge lighting – the Snoopy table lamp can be used anywhere as a light accent. A spot next to the couch or as a highlight in the home office – Flos Snoopy from the TAGWERC design STORE provides the perfect accent.
Snoopy from Flos has a light output of up to 105 watts, which can be dosed via an integrated dimmer. Dimming lights is common practice today, but back in 1967 it was an absolute novelty and the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni pioneered the use of this technology with their Snoopy lamp. Equipped with a bulb with an E27 socket, the Snoopy table lamp by Flos can be operated with both, LED and energy-saving lamps. The ideal light colour for the Flos Snoopy table lamp corresponds to warm white light – 2,700 or 3,000 Kelvin. The lacquered lampshade has three holes for ventilation. Their arrangement is reminiscent of a bowling ball and, like bowling, these holes prove to be a practical design element, for example when changing the lampshade.
The 36.9 centimeter table lamp measures a depth of 39.4 centimeters and weighs 7.9 kilograms. Thanks to its marble base, the Snoopy table lamp can be described as stable and robust. As a design classic, the Snoopy table lamp by Flos combines timeless design with modern technology. The Snoopy table lamp by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni is part of the Flos collection by TAGWERC. In the TAGWERC Design STORE you only find design originals from the current production, i.e. new goods in original packaging, as well as all original spare parts for the Snoopy lighting family.
