When switched on, Ultrafragola lights up in Pink, whereby the intensity of the colour appears to decrease from outside to inside due to the arrangement of individual waves. Ultrafragola was part of the series ‘Mobili Grigi’, designed by Ettore Sottsass Jr. in the late 1960s / early 1970s. Matching the Ultrafagola mirror, the bed ‘Elledue’, a dresser, chairs, table and the lamps ‘Cometa’ and ‘Bruco’ were created. Common to all furnishing objects was the integrated lighting and the wave-dominated design. Ultrafragola is a tribute to the wonderful femininity, because the wave-like profile of the mirror light is to remember long hair, falling down in waves.
