With the Play roll container in the colour Pine from the Selection line by the Danish furniture manufacturer Montana, the name says it all. Play consists of a lacquered MDF box that is open at the top. Four stable castors give the Play roll container the mobility we want in everyday life. The Play container goes back to a design by the company founder Peter J. Lassen from 1982. Office, home office, hallway, children’s room, living room, dressing room – Play can be used in many ways and is available from TAGWERC in no less than 40 colours.

Modular furniture that adapts to every situation in life has always been a theme in furniture design, to which Peter J. Lassen also devoted himself. The Play mobile cabinet in the colour Pine is part of the Selection Collection by Montana, which goes back to Lassen’s designs from 1982. Constructed from lacquered MDF with a width of 35.4 centimetres and a depth of 35.4 centimetres, the Play roll container can comfortably accommodate DIN A4 formats. With an overall height of 37 centimetres, the Play container has an open-topped box that is ideal for storing books, office utensils, glasses and cups, magazines, toys and even plants (don’t forget the water-catching planter!).

“Making room for personality” is the slogan Montana uses to describe and promote the furniture system. Lassen designed the system in 1982, originally with 36 different modules in four different depths and in a few colours. Over the years, the Montana Selection palette grew to 40 colours and, in collaboration with Danish colour expert Margrethe Odgaard, was adapted to the demands we have today for functional, flexible and at the same time inviting interior design. Thanks to the colour diversity of the Montana Selection collection, almost all colour concepts can be realised individually and without great effort.

Furniture on legs, castors, suspension rails or a base? The Montana Selection comprises a well thought-out range of functional and creatively preconfigured furniture. In the TAGWERC Design STORE, you decide for yourself with the Montana Selection collection. Of course, you also have the choice of colours for the Play roll container. “40 colours and the practical combination of open storage box with castors make the Play roll container in the colour Pine a versatile piece of storage furniture that takes up little space and can be added to individually,” says the TAGERC Design TEAM.

Peter Joakim Lassen is one of the most visionary Danish entrepreneurs of the second half of the 20th century. Lassen developed his basic design for a modular shelving system as director of Fritz Hansen and later realised it with his own company Montana Møbler. From the basic design, a whole series of storage furniture emerges: shelves, containers, cupboards. Lassen relies on Denmark as a manufacturing location and is a visionary in the field of the home office.
